HVACR HERITAGE CENTRE CANADA

Want to join a volunteer Board of Directors for an organization that promotes our industry?

The HVACR Heritage Centre Canada (HHCC) is seeking energetic people to join the volunteer Board of Directors. We are a national non-profit organization that promotes, preserves and studies the history and evolution of Canada’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration technologies that have become critical to our modern way of life.

Our volunteers are passionate about their commitment to HHCC. They have deep industry roots and generously give their time, share their skills, and offer practical advice and support of our national goals.

As a volunteer Director, you would be joining a Board that provides governance, strategic leadership, fiscal oversight, and policy guidance of the national organization and collaborates with industry, union and government.

Our Needs

Though we welcome all applicants to join our team as volunteers, we are specifically seeking candidates for the following position(s):

  • Director:  As a volunteer Director, you will contribute to the development and implementation of HHCC’s national mission, vision and strategy. You will also contribute to the governance, organizational planning and management and supervision of activities and affairs.
  • Regional Coordinator:  The Regional Coordinator – a volunteer position – acts as the board ambassador and plays an important role in outreach with regional industry and various communities of interest.  The regional ambassador advises the Board of Directors and the Executive Director on issues that relate to government relations and advocacy, internal and external communications and the promotion of the HHCC network.  The Regional Coordinator can also be a member of the Board of Directors.

If you have other relevant experience, please do not hesitate to reach out.

As a volunteer Director, you will be expected to:

  • Attend meetings on a regular basis, and special events when possible;
